	Dr. Barry L. Hughes, D.C. specializes in back, neck and extremity pain. Chiropractors are unparalleled in their knowledge of the back and neck. Dr. Hughes has always been an innovator. He was the first in our area to get hospital training and obtain privileges; first to approach local hospitals and MD's; first to be certified in MUA (Manipulation Under Anesthesia); first to publish a clinical paper - it was the first ever clinical paper written by a DC and published in a peer-reviewed journal (JMPT) addressing MUA and first addressing MUA for cervical disc syndrome. Dr. Hughes is a life-long resident of the Brazosport area. He graduated from Sweeny High School in 1975. He attended several colleges and universities across the country before entering Texas Chiropractic College in 1979. He graduated from TCC in 1983 after completing chiropractic college and a first of its kind externship in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Fronstin Clinic.

Gail – Gail has over twenty years experience in chiropractic patient care and office management. Currently she is transitioning from insurance and billing to patient and public relations. Besides being Dr. Hughes’ wife, she is a great cook, a wonderful mother and the spark that keeps the office going! (Did I get that right, Gail?) She is available to assist you in obtaining and filling out reimbursement forms from your insurance company and will answer any questions you may have about your insurance coverage.

Vonnie – Vonnie is our therapy and patient care assistant. She is in charge of our rehab department and assists the doctor in administering ancillary care to patients. She is a musician and even leads worship at her church from time-to-time.

	Austin - Austin is Dr. Hughes' niece. She helps out in all of our departments and is a great asset. Austin will be leaving us in the fall of 2006 to attend college.
	Tracey – Tracey is our front desk manager. She makes the office run smoothly. She will help you with your paperwork and appointment scheduling. Tracey’s specialty is our decompression program. She is in charge of general information and financial counseling.
